🎓Eligibility Criteria

The entry requirements to study law in Australia and the United Kingdom (UK) are almost similar. Some of the eligibility requirements are listed below:

  • Courses are prominently taught in English, which requires students to score well on English language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE. However, the English language skills required may differ on the basis of universities. 
  • 10+2 marksheet with minimum scores in all the subjects for BA degrees in Law. 
  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline other than law for JD degrees. 
  • A Masters degree in Law or related program for PhD and MPhil courses. 
  • Some universities also require students to take the LSAT which is a standardized exam run by the LSAC (Law School Admission Council). 

However, the score requirements in entrance exams or English Proficiency Tests such as IELTS, PTE, TOEFL etc may vary from university to university and the country you’re pursuing law courses from.
