Symbiosis International organizes the SET exam every year as a central part of its admission process for several undergraduate programs such as BBA and BCA. It is a computer-based test conducted via online mode. Symbiosis International comprises a total of 15 constituent institutions spread across Pune, Noida and Hyderabad. SET Exam 2023 Eligibility
Symbiosis International has specified certain eligibility requirements for candidates wanting to pursue an undergraduate program from the university. Here is a list of prerequisites for the SET exam that you need to fulfil in order to be qualified for your chosen bachelor’s degree course at the university:
- Candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination in a stream pertaining to their field from interest from a recognized board or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks. Those who belong to SC/ST category have a relaxation of 5% i.e. they need a basic minimum of 45% marks.
- Candidates appearing for their 12th standard examination, they need to submit a passing certificate to become eligible for admission.
- If the student applying for this exam has completed their 12th standard through a foreign board, they are required to obtain a certificate that is equivalent to the above-mentioned certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SET Exam Registration 2023
The process of application of the SET exam is quite a simple one and is bifurcated into the following five steps:
- Filling the Application Form – The application form of the exam is available online at the official website of SET exam. You need to create an account as a new user after which you can fill the exam form.
- Downloading the Admit Card – The candidates can download the admit card for the exam from the online portal once the notification is out. Once you have received your admit card, check the SET exam centre and date and wrap your test preparation accordingly.
- Appearing for the Exam – Don’t forget to be fully prepared on the day of the SET exam. Moreover, the applicants need to carry any of the identity proof documents to the examination hall such as Aadhar card, driving license, etc.
- Check the SET Results – The SET exam results are announced almost a week after the examination. Your scores result will determine where you are eligible for WAT/PI round. The cut-offs are announced by individual schools under the Symbiosis International. The results will be followed by the announcement of the application process pertaining to that school. For this, it’s recommended that you check the particular websites of schools that feature on the top of your list.
- Appearing for the Personal Interview Round– If you have qualified for the cut-off under the SET exam results, the next step is to get ready for the interview round. The interview will be taken by the school you have qualified for and the admission committee will assess if you are the right candidate for the course or not.

After the registration process, you can move on to the payment section and submit the fee (1,750 INR for the first session and 3,500 INR for the second session) via online banking/credit or debit card.

SET Exam Selection Process
After the examination and result announcement, students are selected based on various criteria. Students are evaluated based on their exam score, written ability test, and personal interview. Only after successful completion of all rounds, students are eligible for UG program admission.
Reservation
There are few seats registered under different categories. The seat reservation criteria for different categories are as follows:
- Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
- Scheduled Caste: 15%
- Person with Disability: 3%
- Wards of people in Armed forces: 5%
- Kashmiri migrants: 2 seats above and over the sanctioned intake
