National Testing Agency (NTA) is the most prominent testing organization in India that conducts a varied range of competitive exams for different educational institutions. For the year 2021, NTA will be conducting varied exams such as JEE Mains, UGC NET, CMAT, NCHM, JNU-CET, amongst others. About NTA

NTA stands for National Test Agency. It was established in 2018 to conduct entrance examinations in the country. NTA takes care of all the procedures including test procedure, test delivery, test marking. Initially JEE Mains, UGC NET and NEET were conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). All India Council for Technical Education conducted exams including CMAT and GPAT. 

Features of NTA

NTA is responsible for other things as well. These include:

  • Mock Papers for all the exams. It is important to note that you can access these mock papers only if you have registered for the exam.
  • Content-Based Lectures for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
  • Addressing inclusion during exams for students with disability

June 2021

Due to the situation of Covid-19, NTA is planning to postpone the JEE Mains but the decision has not been taken yet. NEET Exam has been postponed.

April 2, 2021

  • National Test Agency(NTA) begins the Uttar Pradesh CET 2021 application  process as the exams start on 18 May 2021. 
  • The last day of application is 30th April 2021.

April 3. 2021

  • ARPIT 2020 exams have been postponed due to West Bengal elections
  • You can check the details on nta.ac.in

April 4, 2021

  • JEE Mains April 2021 Exam registration ends today
  • Last day to pay the application fee is 5 April 2021
  • The exams are to be held from  27, 28, 29, and 30, April 2021

April 4, 2021

  • NTA has released the Common Management Admission Test(CMAT) 2021 provisional answer keys and question paper.
  • Candidates can check the answer key on https://cmat.nta.nic.in/
  • Students can challenge the CMAT results till 5th April 2021

List of NTA Exams 

NTA is responsible for conducting a wide range of entrance exams for higher education in a multitude of disciplines as well as for different academic institutions. Every year, millions of students sit for the exams orchestrated by National Testing Agency. For the year 2021, the list of NTA exams is as follows:

NTA Exams Eligibility Criteria

National Testing Agency conducts 17 exams but there are some exams that are taken across India and are some of the most important exams in their fields. Here is the list of these exams and their eligibility criteria set by NTA.

JEE Mains 1. No age limit
2. Candidates who have passed class 12th or are appearing for class 12 exams in the current academic year
3. Candidates must have Physics, Maths, Language, Chemistry / Biology in their Class 12th.
NEET UG 1. At Least 17 years old
2. Must have taken NEET test less than 3 times
DU JAT 1. Must be from a recognized board
2. Minimum 60% (General) or 55% (OBC & SC/ST) in Class 12th
3. Aggregate should be based on top 4 subjects compulsorily including English and subject taking the test for 
4. Category Certificate for OBC and SC/ST students
DUET  1. Minimum 60% in Class 12th for BTech
2. Minimum 60% for B.A. Hons Humanities
3. Minimum 75% for B.A. Hons
4. Multimedia and Mass Communication
DUET PG 1. Minimum 50% in LLB for LLM
2. Minimum 60% in Bachelor’s degree with Maths as a subject for MCA
3. Minimum 50% in BCom for MCom
4. Minimum 50% in BEd for MEd
GPAT 1. Must be an Indian Citizen
2. Compulsory B.Pharm degree
CMAT Completed graduation from any recognized University
UGC Net Minimum 55% in Masters degree

UGC NET 2021

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for shortlisting the best-fit candidates for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor in Indian Universities. Amongst the most popular NTA exams, the imperative features of the UGC NET have been elucidated below: The test will be taken two times in a year i.e. first time in June 2021 and second time in December 2021:

IND-SAT Exam 2021

IND-SAT also known as the Indian Scholastic Assessment Test is an exam conducted by the NTA in order to grant admissions and scholarships to foreign students to study in India. The test comprises a math test, writing and language test and a reading test. 

NTA Application Process

Almost all the National Testing Agency exams follow the same procedure for application. 

1. Fill an application form

If you are applying for an exam by NTA, be it NEET, JEE Mains, CMAT, GPAT, UGC Net, DUET or DUJAT, you need to fill an application form on the official website of NTA.

2. Download the Admit Card

Once you have filled the application along with the documents, you need to download your admit card. You can download your admit card by entering your application number and date of birth.

3. Appear for the exam

The admit card will have details on your test centre where you need to take your test. The paper will have subjects related to whichever course you are planning to take with that test.

4. Wait for the result

The last thing you need to wait for is the result. You can get the result on the website of NTA. Here, you will know your marks, overall rank, state rank. According to your result, you will be selected by different universities.
