Eligibility Criteria

The official authorities have laid down some mandatory conditions which the aspirants have to fulfill in order to appear for the exam. JEECUP Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted in both online and offline modes. The total duration of JEECUP will be 3 hours in which the candidates have to attempt 100 questions. Application Process 

This year onwards, the candidates have to register through online mode only. It is advised to complete the JEECUP 2021 application process in time as the last date is nearing. You can follow the below-mentioned steps and easily register for the UP Polytechnic exam:

  • Visit the official website of JEECUP. 
  • Select the online form i.e., JEE for Group A or JEE for Group B to K and carefully fill the application form by entering all your essential details.
  • Upload all the necessary documents including signature, photograph thumb impression, etc in the prescribed dimensions.
  • Once you have filled in the details and uploaded all the documents, make the payment either through offline or by online modes.
  • The application fee for OBC/ General Category is Rs. 300. While for SC/ST, it is Rs. 200. 

Admit Card

Once the candidates have successfully registered for the JEECUP or UP Polytechnic and submitted the application fee, they will be able to download the admit card when it is released. The admit card will be released on the official website at least 8 days before the set exam date. Students are advised to keep checking on the official website to know about the status of the admit card.

Exam Centres



JEECUP Result will be announced within ten days of the exams. Candidates can check the result online with their allotted application no. and date of birth. The result card should be downloaded for future use and the result contains important information like the total marks obtained, roll number, category-wise rank, and whether the candidate has qualified or not.

Answer Key

The answer key is released within days of the exam. Students can access it on the official website and tally their marks using the answer key for every paper.

JEECUP Counselling 

The Council releases the State Open Rank which is used for all groups. All the candidates who qualify for the JEECUP or UP Polytechnic exam will have to be present for the counselling process through which they can seek admission in the course of their choice. Here are some important pointers related to it-

  • Counselling: Candidates who have cleared the JEECUP 2021 will be called for the counselling process which will be held after the JEECUP Result is announced.
  • Seat Allotment: Candidates have to fill in their college and course preferences. Candidates will get seats based on their ranks and the availability of seats in the respective colleges.
  • Rounds: There are 4 rounds of counselling.
  • Registration Fee: All the candidates have to pay INR 250 as a registration fee to appear in counselling.
  • Document Verification: Candidates have to report to the counselling centres for document verification.
