Heinrich Boll Scholarships in Germany for International Students

Heinrich Boll Stiftung Foundation offers PhD scholarships to accepted applicants who wish to pursue their doctoral degrees from a recognized German university.

Eligibility		The applicant must have been offered admission as a doctoral student by a German state or state-recognized university. Proof/letter of admission must be provided along with the application. Those PhD subjects which relate to central points of the activities of the Foundation shall be given preference.
Award		€1,200 ( INR 1.08 Lakh) per month in addition to a €100 (INR 9,009) mobility allowance every month,  Various individual allowances. In this, the tuition fees is not included

Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship

The University of Edinburgh, UK in its endeavour to encourage research offers 30 PhD scholarships to international students in any discipline offered at the institution. Tabulated below are the salient features of the program: 

Eligibility	International students who have been accepted to a full-time PhD level degree program at the University of Edinburgh, UK for the year 2020-21. Proof of excellent and consistent academic merit and research potential. At least an upper second-class honours Bachelor’s degree (or the overseas equivalent). A first-class Bachelor’s degree supplemented by an excellent Master’s degree is strongly preferred. *Financial status, nationality, the proposed field of study or any such factors are not taken into account for the award of a scholarship
Award	The scholarship shall support the applicant for the difference between the tuition fee incurred for a UK/EU postgraduate student and that chargeable to an overseas postgraduate student. Maintenance expenses do not fall under the ambit of the scheme. Awards are tenable for up to three years with some conditions.

Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program

Established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program supports international students to pursue a PhD in France in its various reputed universities. Glance through the following table to know more about the scheme:

DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP)

The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD scholarship financially supports international students who intend to complete PhD projects [max up to 4 years] at an institution in Germany. 

Eligibility	Excellently-qualified doctoral candidates and young academics and scientists who have completed a Master’s degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases, a Bachelor’s degree at the latest by the time they begin their scholarship – depending on the graduate school
Award	1. Monthly allowance of 1,200 euros ( INR 1.08 Lakh) 2. Allowances for health, accident and personal liability insurance cover 3. Lump sum amount for travel (depending on country of origin) 4. Research allowance of 460 euros per year (INR 41,445) 5. Owing to exceptional circumstances, grant holders may be entitled to the following extra benefits: monthly rent subsidy; a monthly allowance for depending members of family (a figure of 200 euros allowance per child and nearly 275 euros marriage allowance)

Google PhD Fellowship India Program

This fellowship program is offered by Google for aspiring PhD scholars in Computer Science or related specializations. The Google PhD. Fellowship India Program provides a monthly fellowship amount as well as covers the contingency expenses along with giving an internship offer at Google. The requirements for this Google Scholarship for PhD in India are:
