UK Students and students of the commonwealth countries who apply for the MA Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) course are eligible for the UEA Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship. Therefore, Indian students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Benefits of the UEA Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship

Only 1 student is chosen each year as the winner of the UEA Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship. Whoever wins the scholarship is awarded an amount of GBP 25,000 or INR 25.40 lakhs. 

You are allowed to use the amount granted under the scholarship for tuition fees and maintenance costs.

Application Process

You have to fill an application form to apply for the Scholarship. Apart from the academic and employment details, the form will ask you for the following- 

• Demonstrate your financial need
• Outline the form of writing you prefer 
• 500 words on why you need the scholarship for the scholarship essay

Application Deadline

UEA will accept scholarship application forms till 12 noon, 3rd June 2022. Ensure that you submit the form before the deadline.
