National Scholarships

The government of India in its efforts to raise the education level and opportunities for its citizens provides a number of scholarships throughout one’s academic journey right from primary levels to post-doctoral research levels. From National Scholarships which encourage meritorious students to go a little further in academics to a need-based scheme that supports students hailing from disadvantaged sections of the society to pursue quality education at elite institutions of India, it acts as an integral part of the whole structure. In particular, central and state universities have specially-run schemes and regulations to admit and promote such students. The concept of ‘disadvantage points’ which awards students points based on their family annual income, background, family educational level is also intrinsic to this. Take a look at the following repository of National Scholarships on offer.
