Punjab Scholarship: Application Process
The application process for Punjab scholarship differs in two ways. Go through the steps given below to know about the application process for each of them:
Under Dr Ambedkar Scholarship Portal
- Step 1: Visit the official website: http://www.scholarships.punjab.gov.in/
- Step 2: On the home page, click on the link that says “Register as Students” and it will lead to a page where students can create scholarship login.
- Step 3: Enter all the basic details and personal information along with education board details to complete your registration.
- Step 4: Now, fill in the captcha code and click on the Register button.
- Step 5: A new page will open which will have the Punjab scholarships 2023 form for the student.
- Step 6: Enter all the required details in the form and upload the required documents
- Step 7: Click on “Submit” and you are registered as a candidate.
Under National Scholarship Portal
- Step 1: Open the official National Scholarship website here: https://scholarships.gov.in/
- Step 2: After the hompeage opens, click on New Registration option.
- Step 3: A new web page opens, where you have to go through all the terms and conditions carefully.
- Step 4: After the choosing Agreed to all the Terms and Condition, click on the Continue button
- Step 5: The Registration Form is displayed where you have to insert all the required information.
- Step 6: After you provide your contact details, an OTP will be sent to your number.
- Step 7: Enter the OTP number and click Register.

How to check Aadhar card authentication?
Applicants can check the authentication by visiting the official website. The Aadhar authentication option is available on the corner of the left side. Select “Aadhar Card Authentication”. Enter your Aadhar number, gender, name, and captcha code. Submit to check the authentication.

Renewal Process
Candidates should check for notifications about the renewal dates on the official website and apply accordingly. Let’s see the process to renew your scholarship after 1 year.
- 1st Step: Log in to the official portal with your credentials (User ID and Password).
- 2nd Step: Check the notification section for updates regarding your scholarship program.
- 3rd Step: Click on the notification, if available and edit/update the details for the respective scholarship.
- 4th Step: Upload the scanned mark sheet of the last qualifying examination of the current course and any other document needed.
- 5th Step: Submit the renewal form and take a printout of the same.
- 6th Step: Submit the printout along with all supporting documents to the respective educational institution for further processing.
FAQs
For such dates please look at the “Announcement” box on the home page. It is important to mention here that after registration the student login id and password will be valid for only fifteen days during which he/she has to apply for the scholarship. After fifteen days if the student has not applied for the scholarship his credentials will become invalid and he /she has to register again.
You have to submit the following documents:
– a self-attested photocopy of caste certificate
– an income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians stating definite income from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
– employed parents/guardians are required to obtain an income certificate from their employer and for any additional income from other sources
– they would furnish declaration by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
– copy of high school certificate
– copy of the first page of the passbook (showing IFSC code of the Bank & Bank
Account Number linked with Aadhaar Number)
– Handicap Certificate (if any) along with the printout of the Application
The responsible Institute would verify the original certificates and return back to the students.
You can edit information filled by you, till you “Lock and forward the online application” to the
institute. If the student has entered the following parameters wrongly he/she can register again:
(1) Name of the student
(2) Father Name
(3) Mother Name
(4) Date of Birth
(5) Religion
(6) Category
Rest of the details the student can edit any number of times.
It is worthy to mention here that after the temporary rejection of the application of the student by the institute, the student can edit his/her application details and apply again. The student can change his bank account number and email address any time from the options given in his/her login.
You should separately inform the mistakes detected by you to the Scholarship Nodal Officer of your Institute. The institute has to temporarily reject the application as an incomplete application, then the application will be available to the student for editing.
You can recover your Applicant ID/ Password by clicking on “Registered students: Recover your password” from the Registered Student Log-in box. You have to fill up details like First Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and e-mail Id, as you have entered in the application while generating the initial password. The application will
regenerate the Password and SMS would be sent to your contact Mobile Number.
You can check the status of your application anytime. After logging in, click on “ Edit-Lock-Print Application”. Then select the “Track Status” option. This will provide you current / latest status of your Scholarship Application.
You can approach the concerned institute “Temporarily Reject” your application. On Temporary rejection, the application will be made available to you for editing purposes. You can make the correct selection of Institute. Then select the Course and Branch. Lock the application, and forward the application to your Institute.
You should send the application form manually to Director, Department of Welfare of SC and OBC, Punjab.
