INET stands for the Indian Navy Entrance Test and is conducted for recruiting applicants in the various branches of the Indian Navy at the level of executive, educational and technical. INET Covid – 19 Update

The current pandemic situation in India is getting worse as the number of cases increasing every day is exceeding the cases of the previous date. Considering the situation the official authority of INET has canceled the June session of INET 2021. The admission will be done through SSB interview & medical test only. 

INET 2021 Important Dates

After the INET 2021 June session was canceled by the official authority. The new dates have not been released yet. We will update it as soon as the official authority releases the dates.

INET Selection Process 

  1. INET Registration – The application form is released on the official website. You have to pay the application fee and register yourself for the INET exam (https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/
  1. Shortlisting Applicants – The candidates are shortlisted and if they meet the eligibility criteria only then the application can proceed to the next stage.
  1. SSB Interview – SSB interview consists of two stages. Stage 1 includes Officer Intelligence Rating tests and Picture Perception & Description Test. Stage 2 consists of Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, and interview rounds. Candidates can only stage 2 after they have cleared stage 1
  1. Medical Test – After clearing the SSB interview the selected candidates are required to clear the medical round. Only the medically fit candidates can proceed further. There is no relaxation for anyone.

5. Merit List – The merit list is released based on the SSB interview and medical round. The selected candidates also receive appointment letters.

Application Form

Applicants can apply for INET through the online mode from the official website. Here is the step-wise process to fill INET application:

  1. Visit the official website of INET.
  2. Click on the “Apply Online” tab & you will be redirected to another page.
  3. Create a new account & log in with the details sent on your registered email id to start filling the INET application form.
  4. Fill in your personal & academic details.
  5. Upload the necessary documents (Signature & photograph)
  6. Pay the application fee & take two printouts of the application form for future reference.

Application Fee

To complete the application process of INET all applicants to pay the application fee. Application Fee can be paid through Debit/Credit card or internet banking. The application fee amount for the general & OBC category Rs.215/- & for SC/ST/Female candidates don’t have to pay any application fee.

Physical and Medical Criteria for Indian Navy Entrance Test 2021 

All the candidates have to medically fit to be a part of the Indian navy. There is no relaxation in this. However, the relaxation is given to candidates holding domicile in height and weight.

Admit Card

The INET admit Card is released a few weeks before the date of examination. Without the admit card, no student will be allowed to enter the INET examination center. Check the details on your admit card, if there is any incorrect information raise a ticket to the concerned department. Also, carry a valid identification card on the day of the exam along with an INET admit card. Here are the steps to download the INET Admit card: 

  • Visit the official website of INET.
  • Click on admit card link/notification.
  • You will be redirected to another page & you can log in with your username & password.
  • Download the admit card displayed on your screen & take two printouts.

Exam Pattern

Before appearing for an exam, applicants must know about the exam pattern. Knowing the exam pattern beforehand helps students in preparing, planning & can also develop an exam strategy accordingly. There is a total of 4 sections in the INET exam & each section has 25 questions. The weightage of each section is 100 marks. Here is the exam pattern of INET:

How many times INET is conducted in a year?

INET is conducted twice a year. The first session is conducted in January and the second session in June.

Can girls join Indian Navy?

Yes, girls can join Indian and eligible for most of the post except few which are SSC Pilot (other than MR), SSC Observer, SSC ATC, SSC Naval Armament Inspection Cadre

What is the educational qualification required for INET?

Every post requires different educational qualifications. Most of the posts require a minimum 60% in BE/ B.Tech.  

Is there any negative marking in the INET exam?

Yes there is negative marking in the INET exam. For every wrong answer one mark is deducted.

What is the syllabus for the INET exam?

INET exam has four sections. Section I of English, Section II of Reasoning and Numerical Ability, Section III of General Science and Mathematical Aptitude and Section IV of General Knowledge.
