Adjectives An Adjective modifies or
describes a noun or pronoun 
Pretty, Clever, Old, Young, Beautiful, Long, Healthy, etc Look at that beautiful house!

Verb  A verb expresses an action or state
of being 
Run, Jump, Dance, Write, Happy, Anxious, Sing, Cry, Clap, etc Shyam was running.

Riya was feeling happy after the race.

Adverb  An Adverb is one of those parts
of speech which modifies or defines
a verb/adjective/ another adverb
Carefully, Extremely, Well, Gently, Quickly, Very, etc It is too hot! Please don’t serve it to my uncle. 

The order from amazon arrived very late.

Preposition  The primary objective of a Preposition
is to frame a phrase by modifying
another word in a sentence and this
is done by adding a word before
noun/pronoun 
In, On, At, Over, Under, Above, Near, Since, Between, Upon, With, To, etc They went under the table the moment earthquake struck. 

My house is between Tina and Tanya’s.
The dog is sleeping.

Conjunction  Conjunction join words, phrases or clauses  And, But, Or, While, Because, So, After, Before, etc I was tired so I slept early.

He is angry because his friend cheated on him.

Interjection  Another important component
of parts of speech, Interjections are those words which are
for expressing emotions and feelings 
Wow!, Oh!, Oops!, Oh my!   Oops! I accidentally dropped the glass.
