IIM, also known as the Indian Institute of Management is the top business school in India providing the best education in Business and Management. In order to secure admission into IIM, candidates have to appear for the CAT, which is one of the toughest competitive exams in India. In all, there are 20 IIMs in India offering undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, executive as well as additional certificate and online programs. List of IIM Scholarships

Scholarships offered in IIMs are mainly of two kinds: 

  1. Need-based scholarships : These scholarship amounts are determined on the basis of the family income of the students. Only students hailing from financially weaker backgrounds are offered this scholarship.
  1. Merit-based scholarships – These scholarships are offered to meritorious students who obtain a high score in their CAT exam or who perform well in the exams conducted by IIM.

IIM Ahmedabad

Given below is the list of most popular IIM Ahmedabad scholarships: 

  1. IIM-A Special Need-Based Scholarships
    Eligibility : For economically weak students who want to pursue PGP or PGP-ABM. This fee waiver scheme is offered on the basis of the family income of the student.
  1. IIM- A scholarships for FPM
    Eligibility : Students whose total family income is less than Rs. 6 lakh in the previous financial year are eligible for this scheme.
  1. IIM-A Industrial scholarship
    Eligibility : Students who are not registered for the IIMA special scholarships are eligible to apply.
  1. IIM – A PGPX Scholarship
    Eligibility :Students who are not registered for the IIMA special scholarships are eligible to apply.
  1. SC/ST Scholarships
    Eligibility : Few of the outstanding SC/ST students are shortlisted for this scholarship.
  1. GOI Merit-cum-Means Scholarships 
    Eligibility : At least 25% students belonging to the non-sponsored student body from both first and second year are awarded this scholarship.
  1. State Scholarship
    Eligibility : State Governments fund the education of some of the best students from those states. This scholarship is need and merit based.
