University of Edinburgh Scholarships for Bachelor Programs

The University of Edinburgh offers four bachelor’s degree scholarships, three of which are available to international students. These are faculty-specific scholarships with their own set of benefits, application dates, and selection criteria. The following are the details of the undergraduate scholarships available at the University of Edinburgh:

Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships

The scholarship programme is intended for international students who are beginning their undergraduate studies in mathematics. The Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships are worth 5,000 GBP (4.95 lakhs INR) every year and are awarded based on the following eligibility and selection criteria:

• Enrolling as a full-time student and paying tuition at the international rate
• UCAS must be used to submit admission applications.
• Students who are currently enrolled in a programme are ineligible for the grant.

Scholarship applications must be filed by April 27, 2023. The application decision will be notified by May 31, 2023.

Robertson International Scholarships

The School of History, Classics, and Archeology provide around 5 undergraduate scholarships worth 1,000 GBP (99k INR) to international students pursuing related disciplines. The following are the scholarship selection criteria:

• Citizen of a country other than the EU who is subject to tuition fees at the abroad rate
• I applied to the university through the UCAS portal.
• Choosing to study full-time at the School of History, Classics, and Archeology

The scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2023. Robertson International Scholarship decisions will be made by the end of May 2023.

Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies International Scholarship

Each year, two recipients are chosen for the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies International Scholarship, with each getting a 5,000 GBP (4.95 lakh INR) prize. Selections are generally based on meeting the following criteria:

• Admission offer for a full-time BVM&S programme beginning in 2023-2024 for international or UK graduates
• Students who are already enrolled in the programme are ineligible.
• The scholarship is only accessible in 2023-2024 and cannot be deferred to the following year, even if the student’s academic offer is delayed.

Scholarship applications must be filed by May 10, 2023. Decisions will be made by the middle of June 2023.

Narotam Sekhsarias Scholarships

These merit-based scholarships were initiated by Mr Narotam Sekhsaria. These scholarships are mainly for students who have academic excellence and wish to pursue a postgraduate degree at prestigious institutions. These scholarships help students with their tuition fees. 

Eligibility 

• This scholarship is mainly for Indian students who are below 30 years of age as of January 31st, 2023. 
• If you want to apply for this scholarship then you are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
• Only after securing admission to the institution, you are eligible for this scholarship.

Application Process

You are required to pay an application fee of INR 500 followed by filling in the online application form. The application started on January 05, 2023, and the deadline for the application is March 16, 2023.

Hani Zeini Scholarship

Hani Zeini Scholarship is a scholarship program started by Hani Zeini who was a prolific entrepreneur. This scholarship is mainly for the desirable students who need financial support to pursue a career enterprising and entrepreneurial in nature. This scholarship awards a one-time award of $1000 (INR 82K) to only one student 

Eligibility 

• There are no specific eligibility requirements for this scholarship, hence students from 108+ countries including India, and Australia are eligible to apply.
• Students enrolled in an accredited university are eligible for Hani Zeini Scholarship

Application Process

You are required to apply through a separate external application form. The application starts on March 01, 2023, and the deadline for application is March 15, 2023.

Global Study Awards

One of the main scholarships is recommended to students who successfully complete their IELTS results. This award is granted by the British Council and Studyportals. An amount of Pound 10,000 or INR 10,14,000 is awarded to use the amount for tuition fees and living expenses.

Eligibility 

• There are no such special restrictions 
• The candidate is required to pass an interview to pursue this scholarship after getting shortlisted.
• The age is required to be 18 or over to apply for this scholarship with a valid international student identity card.
• An enrollment or plan for enrollment in the undergraduate or postgraduate program 
• This scholarship is available to prospective students from all countries worldwide.
