Each IIM generally releases their fee structure in the admission policy before the commencement of the program and mentions the expenses they cover in its IIM MBA fee structure. The IIMs increase their fees by 1 – 2% every year and range between INR 10 lakh – INR 28 lakh every year. The cost of an IM MBA can range from INR 16 lakh to INR 27 lakh. MBA fees of the top three IIMs – Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta are the highest (between INR 24 lakh to INR 27 lakh) but MBA fees of the newer IIMs like Trichy and Sirmaur are between INR 16 to INR 19 lakh. The difference in the fee structures of the old and new IIMs is caused by the fact that the latter gets government funding for maintenance and other expenses, whereas the former does not.
