ETH Zurich Acceptance Rate: Eligibility Criteria

Due to its elite ranking, the competition is very high for ETH Zurich admissions, which makes the ETH Zurich acceptance rate low. The acceptance rate was noted as 27% by the university in 2020. The eligibility criteria for a Master’s is a score of 100 in TOEFL, and 7 in IELTS for most courses generally. Masters are available in English. For undergraduate courses, the language requirement has to be met with at least a C1 level in German, among other things. International students also have to pay a non-refundable fee of CHF 150 (INR 13,200) at the time of application. 

Application Process

The steps for the application process of ETH Zurich are given below:

  • Step 1 Register on the Online portal. Submit your name, email, contact, photograph and date of birth.
  • Step 2 – After registration, you can log in to the portal using your credentials.
  • Step 3 – This step includes filling in all your details and selecting the course you want to pursue at the university.
  • Step 4 – Herein, you are required to submit all the necessary documents for verification.
  • Step 5 – The final step includes paying the application fee of CHF 150 (INR 13,203).

    My son who is a Swiss citizen, but did his primary and secondary education in Nigeria wishes to study computer engineering in ETH Zurich. He wrote IGCSE exam and made 1A* in English language and 4As in physics, mathematics, computer and chemistry.
