About CMAT Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. The CMAT is one of India’s most popular MBA entry tests. Every year, over 70,000 applicants apply. Some of India’s leading business schools accept CMAT scores, including Great Lakes Institute of Management, JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya Mumbai, Welingkar Mumbai, and PUMBA. The CMAT exam has 100 questions covering Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. CMAT has a total of 400 points. The CMAT exam is three hours long and is administered via a computer-based test (CBT).

CMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For the CMAT exam, there are only a few simple eligibility requirements that candidates need to fulfill. The following table enlists these prerequisites:

CMAT 2022 Syllabus

The CMAT test consists of 5 sections. The new and optional section of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship section was introduced for the first time in the CMAT 2021 exam and an extra 30 minutes are allotted for this section. All candidates have the option for the section.

CMAT Registration Process: How to Apply for CMAT Exam?

The procedure of applying for the CMAT exam has been made completely online and candidates can visit the NTA CMAT website for all application-related purposes. The essential details and documents you need at the time of application are:

CMAT 2022 Admit Card

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting the way and is also in-charge of administering the CMAT admit card. The card is released prior to the exam and all candidates can download it from the official website. All candidates are required to carry the admit card to the exam centre. This document contains a number of details such as Name, Age, Exam Centre, Timings and Subject name and code.

Guidelines for CMAT Exam Day 2022

Applicants for the CMAT 2022 examination must prep carefully not only for the test and also the day of the test. Here are a few suggestions for the test day that you need to bear in mind: 

• Make sure to bring a copy of your CMAT entry pass. As a legal paper, digital, scanned or photocopied admission cards are not suitable. 
• You must reach your CMAT Exam centre for at least 2 hours even before reporting day.
• Do not take computer products to the location for the test. You are also recommended not to bring any other valuable belongings.
• Bring a photo ID as a supplementary proof of identity alongside CMAT 2022 admit card.
  As your ID evidence, you can hold any of the following documentation: 
  • Card Aadhar 
  • Voter ID 
  • Passport 
  • Car License 
  • University/College ID card

CMAT Result and Cut-Offs

The CMAT result for the latest exam is out and the candidates can check and download their scorecards using the login details available to them. Candidates can now start applying to the business schools opening their applications or send the scores to already registered colleges and business schools to get admission.

The cut-offs for every business school is different and candidates must check on the official website of the desired business school to ascertain whether they made the said university’s cutoffs. 

CMAT Exam Analysis: 2021

The CMAT exam was concluded on March 31st, 2021 and was held in two-time slots on the same day for this year. This year, there were certain changes to the exam pattern and questions.

• CMAT added a new optional section on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
• The weightage for this new section is 25 marks.
• Candidates who opted for Innovation and Entrepreneurship were allotted an extra 30 minutes to cover the new section.  
• The number of questions was increased from 100 to 125 for students who opted for the optional section.
