CMAT or Common Management Admission Test is an exam conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) to select students for admissions in various management programs pan India.  These institutes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The duration of this computer-based, online exam, is of 3 hours and has 100 objective-based questions in total. Each correct question carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. From reasoning ability and logical thinking to current affairs and data interpretation, the CMAT syllabus covers a multitude of topics. These topics are subdivided into 4 sections namely- Logical Reasoning; Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation; General Awareness; and Language Comprehension. CMAT Syllabus – Verbal Ability

The CMAT Syllabus of the Language Comprehension section of CMAT is set to examine the candidate’s basic English knowledge. From grammar and verbs to reading and answering comprehension passages, it covers almost all the aspects of this language. The comprehension is usually of 120 words and is followed by questions that derive the answer from the paragraph itself. The number of questions asked from this section is 25. Considered as one of the most scoring, the Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation section examines a candidate’s problem-solving ability. With regular practice and a strong foundation in basic math, you can score well in this section. The data interpretation questions are framed in the form of pie charts, tables, and bar graphs.
