University of Toronto: Admission Process

Candidates with a minimum 3.7 GPA can apply for the programs offered by the University of Toronto. The application process may vary for international and local students. For instance, if you are not currently living in Canada, have not studied in Canada before, and are not applying for any other Ontario University, then you can apply as an international student using the OUAC 105 application form. The university charges $220 (11,660 INR) as application fees. The admission process starts in the fall season right before the year you want to join. Generally, January and February are the months when the registrations for admission begin. 

English Proficiency Test Scores 

The University of Toronto accepts several English language tests for admission. Here are the minimum scores specified by the university for various English proficiency tests.

  • The minimum score accepted for IELTS is 6.5. 
  • The total accepted score of TOEFL is 100+22 for writing. 
  • For both Cambridge assessment C1 (advanced) and C2 (Proficiency) tests, the minimum overall score is 180.

      The validity of an IELTS score lasts for 2 years. So, if you are planning to start your application process in the year 2023, it is recommended that you should take the IELTS exam again! But if your already existing IELTS score validity matches with the deadline for applying in the year 2023 then there is no need!
