Rolls-Royce India Pvt. Ltd. implemented Rolls-Royce Unnati Scholarship Programme for Women Engineering Students that supports meritorious female students financially. This scholarship program helps these students complete their engineering courses. The main aim of this scholarship program is to give financial support to first/ second/third-year engineering students who are pursuing their bachelor’s degrees and who belong to the weaker sections of society. Aim of Rolls-Royce Unnati Scholarship Programme

The engineering stream is one of the most preferred streams in India but it is expensive as well. Not everyone can afford to take admitted. Therefore, Rolls-Royce private limited launched Rolls-Royce Unnati Scholarship Programme for Women Engineering Students with the objective of helping meritorious girls who are already studying engineering courses from an AICTE-recognised university in India and belong to the economically disadvantaged section.

 Deserving female candidates will get financial aid through this program in order to continue their higher education in the fields of science, technology, and engineering. The key objective of this scholarship program is to inspire more women to pursue careers in STEM.

Eligibility 

The following qualifying criteria must be met in order to receive financial assistance through the Roll-Royce Unnati Scholarships for women pursuing engineering degrees:

• Only female students are eligible to apply
• Applicants in 1-3 years of their degree are eligible. Engineering degree program (in disciplines such as marine, aerospace, electronics, computers, and so on) at an AICTE-approved university
• The percentage of marks obtained by candidates in Class 10 and 12 board examinations must be greater than 60%

Selection Process

Students selected for this scholarship program will receive INR 35,000 for their studies in the second, third, or fourth year of an engineering degree program. Candidates will be chosen based on their past academic achievement, family income, and academic background. The selection process is divided into many stages which include:

• Scholarship applicants are initially screened based on academic merit and financial need
• Candidates who have been shortlisted for an interview will be interviewed over the phone
• Final selection requires a face-to-face interview
