Korean Government Scholarship Program: Purpose

The Korean Government Scholarship Program is jointly designed by the Government of India and the Korean Government for international undergraduate or graduate students who wish to pursue a master’s degree, MBA, doctoral degree, or research program. The main aim is to promote international exchange in education.

KGSP Scholarship 2023 Deadline

The candidate must submit all the required documents no later than 7 March 2023.

Below is the detailed description about the Korean government scholarship program: 

  • Qualifications & Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the following programs are as follows: 

Programs Offered Applicant’s Criteria (2023)
Master Program Less than 45 years
Bachelor’s or Equivalent Degree
Doctoral Program Less than 40 years
Master’s or Equivalent Degree
Research Program Less than 45 years
He/she must hold an invitation from one of the National Institute of International Education (NIIED’s) designated Korean university.
Post Doctoral Research Program Doctoral Degree or Equivalent Education
Professor Exchange Program Master’s Degree or Equivalent Education
Program for Education, Science, Culture(International Professionals) Master’s Degree or Equivalent Education
Credits – Majid Mustaq

Supporting Documents 

Below are the following documents required for the scholarship :

  • Mark sheets and certificate for 10th standard.
  • Mark sheets and certificates for 12th standard.
  • Transcripts of the applicants higher qualifications 
  • Bachelors/Masters/Doctoral degree or equivalent 

Important Note: The file size should be less than 530kb and should be in pdf format. In case of requirements of two documents, each of them must be scanned and shall be submitted as one.

Korean Government Scholarship Program: Korean Language Training

Students are required to take up the course of 1 year of Korean Language while they move out to study in the Republic of Korea. Students who acquire scores higher than 5 in TOPIK are given first preference.

      overall CGPA of 3.2 on a 5.0 scale,
      or an overall score of a percentage of 80% or above!
