    1. Hey, Pj Matthew. The name of the course is Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS). It is a one year diploma course that can lead a student to Nautical science. However, for this the student has to complete 18 years of sea service. The diploma can also lead to Certificate of Competency (CoC) awarded by the Ministry of Shipping. Thus, enabling the students to become navigating officers. To be eligible for this course the student will have to clear the entrance exam. Merit based admissions are also possible.
