About 3-Year LLB Course

LLB is a 3-year undergraduate degree course in the discipline of law pursued by students who have cleared class 12th board exams with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized board. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. The program meets all requirements of the Bar Council of India and builds its curriculum to deliver a rigorous legal education. The 3 year LLB course is structured around the interdisciplinary study of the law combined with experiential learning. The program enables law aspirants to bridge theory and practice and is designed to produce lawyers who meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Types of LLB Course

• 3 Year LLB Course

This course is open to all students who have completed their graduation in any field. It is a three-year program where you specialize in law.

• 5 Year Integrated LLB Course

This course is for all those students who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination. This course is a five-year integrated course combined with undergraduate studies of law education.

• LLM

After completing an LLB, one can pursue an LLM degree so as to specialize in a specific area of law. This is the final level. It is a postgraduate course.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to pursue the LLB course should fulfil certain requirements in order to be eligible. Here are some of the eligibility criteria for 3 year LLB course abroad:

• The student must have more than 70% in Class 12 Board examinations.
• In the UK, Indian students who have a UG Law degree can apply for a 2-year fast-track LLB Law degree in the UK.
• The minimum GPA should be 2.7 out of 4 in order to qualify.
• Some countries like the USA require a UG law degree to study law.
• In Australia, you will need to have completed your education up to the Australian year 12 qualification to study law in Australia.
• Good IELTS or TOEFL Scores.
