In Norway, students can utilise the bracket of free tuition fees that are provided in several universities, regardless of nationality. The tuition fee that is to be paid is for a semester, which is NOK 300-600 (INR 2,500 to 5,000). Though at an undergraduate level, programs are offered and taught in the domestic/national language, therefore you will need to prove your language proficiency. But for postgraduate or PhD courses, several programs are taught in English and free tuition is still available.

In this Nordic country as well, there are no applicable tuition fees and university education is free at four public universities. Just note that only a registration fee is to be paid, which is around ISK 75,000 (INR 43,000) a year.

Though higher education perks are mostly reserved for EU students, PhD programs are exceptional and are provided for free. Let’s look at international fees for bachelor’s and master’s levels in Denmark: here, the university fee ranges from DKK 45,000 and DKK 120,000 (INR 5.2 lakh to INR 14 lakh).

For most courses in Sweden, the international fees at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level fall between SEK 80,000 and SEK 145,000 (INR 6.2 lakh to 11.3 lakh).

Only recently have tuition fees been introduced in Finland. Here, most students will pay an amount between €6,000 – 18,000 (INR 5 lakh to 16 lakh) per year.
