President Joe Biden revealed an inspiring initiative that will allow 100 fellowships for the 25 students each from the Quad group, including the United States, Australia, Japan and India, to continue advanced degrees in the field of Science, Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics at the leading universities of the USA. The Quad Nations – United States, India, Australia and Japan – is made up of democracies that share a worldview and a shared vision for the future that includes counteracting Chinese wars.

Biden called the first in-person meeting of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue at the White House on Friday. It was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi from India, Scott Morrison from Australia and Yoshihide Suga from Japan. 

Joe Biden said in his remarks at the Quad Leaders Summit in Washington, “Today, we are launching a new Quad fellowship program for students from each of our Quad countries to pursue advanced degrees in STEM programs here in the United States, representing an investment in the leaders, innovators, and pioneers of tomorrow”.
