Priyamvada Birla Schoalrship

The Priyamvada Birla Scholarship was founded and sponsored by the Madhav Prasad Priyamvada Birla Apex Charitable Trust. It was launched and administered by the South Point Education Society in the 2013-14 academic session. The scholarship is available to candidates who are meritorious but needy, studying undergraduate classes, in West Bengal State recognised colleges. About Priyamvada Birla Scholarship

The Priyamvada Birla Scholarship is awarded to aspirants whose total family income is less than Rs75,000 from all sources. Only such candidates are only eligible to apply. The scholarship grants a total of Rs24,000/- per year to 30 qualified aspirants to cover their costs for tuition fees, boarding fees, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Mentioned below are the eligibility criteria for the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship.

  • Current Course Details

Students who have been admitted to any full-time degree course (Graduation) in General Discipline (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com etc.), Technical Courses (BBA, BCA, LLB etc.), Engineering (BE, B.Tech) and Medicine (MBBS, BDS) in West Bengal within the first year may apply for the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship 2020.

  •  Annual Family Income

Students whose annual family income is 75,000 or less from all sources are eligible to apply for the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship. Students with a BPL Card must request a copy of this card using the Application Form.

  • Age Limit

As of 4 July 2020, the applicant’s overall age shall be 25 years. For this scholarship, there’s no lower age limit.

  • Merit Criteria

The Higher Secondary Test (10+2) must have been passed by the candidates by every State Board / Assembly, CBSE, ISC, IB.

  • Other Criteria

The candidates applying for the scholarship are not supposed to be holding any form of office with any outside agency. However, in contrast to the aspirants, internships for paying tasks, assignments by the Institution are not considered workers.

Scholarship Amount

  1. Under Priyamvada Birla Scholarship programme, students will be rewarded a cumulative sum of ₹24,000 per year for their course fees, hostel fees.
  2. Candidates will get the scholarship number till the completion of their course (maximum 4 years).
  3. It is subject to the requirement that in a single attempt, the student clear all semesters/years and secure the required percentage/CGPA in each semester/year.

Application Process

1st Year or 1st Semester students of the qualifying courses may apply for the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship 2020 after passing the HS test. The application process is currently being performed online. 

Your personal information, address, education details, family income details & Declaration must be explicitly fulfilled with the full Application Form. Upload the following self-attested documents for the application form.

  • New Photograph of Colour
  • Marksheet Madhyamik.
  • Elevated Secondary Marksheet.
  • The candidate’s ID evidence
  • Card of rank (if any).
  • Evidence of entry to UG lessons
  • Certificate of Profits
