Eligibility Criteria
The official authorities have laid down some mandatory conditions which the aspirants have to fulfil in order to appear for the exam. Basic Eligibility
- Age Limit: More than 14 years of age
- Citizenship: Indian and Permanent Resident of Assam. Permanent Resident Certificate is required at the time of counselling
- Domicile: Candidates who hold a valid domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh state are eligible to apply for
- Qualifying: Candidates must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Below is the table of the qualifying exam for each category:

JEECUP Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted in both online and offline modes. The total duration of JEECUP will be 3 hours in which the candidates have to attempt 100 questions. Application Process
This year onwards, the candidates have to register through online mode only. It is advised to complete the JEECUP 2023 application process in time as the last date is nearing. You can follow the below-mentioned steps and easily register for the UP Polytechnic exam:
- Visit the official website of JEECUP.
- Click on the link “Apply for UPJEE Polytechnic 2023” and confirm your email address and contact number
- Select the online form i.e., JEE for Group A or JEE for Group B to K and carefully fill out the application form by entering all your essential details.
- Upload all the necessary documents including signature, photograph thumb impression, etc in the prescribed dimensions.
- Once you have filled in the details and uploaded all the documents, make the payment either offline or online modes. Submit a registration fee of Rs. 300 for the General category (Rs. 200 for SC/ST category) via online or offline mode.
Application Fee
- You can pay the application fee online with a credit card, debit card, or through net banking.
- The application cost can be paid offline at any SBI bank using an e-challan.
- Additionally, extra bank fees will be charged.

Admit Card
Once the candidates have successfully registered for the JEECUP or UP Polytechnic and submitted the application fee, they will be able to download the admit card when it is released. The admit card will be released on the official website at least 8 days before the set exam date. Students are advised to keep checking on the official website to know about the status of the admit card.

JEECUP Result
JEECUP Results will be announced within ten days of the exams. Candidates can check the result online with their allotted application no. and date of birth. The result card should be downloaded for future use and the result contains important information like the total marks obtained, roll number, category-wise rank, and whether the candidate has qualified or not.
Answer Key
In April 2023, the online version of the JEECUP Answer key will be made available. The answer key in PDF format will be made available by the authority to each applicant online.
The answer key may be challenged by the applicants by mail if they have a problem with it. Following the conclusion of the objection facility, the definitive answer key will be made available.

JEECUP Counselling
The only mode of operation for JEECUP Counseling is online. From June 2023 onwards, candidates can sign up for the counselling process on their own.
Passing applicants for the entrance exam can apply for admission to the appropriate colleges through the counselling process. The number of rounds in which the counselling process will be conducted by the authority will depend on the number of seats that remain after each round of counselling.
The appropriate documentation must be brought by the candidates for verification throughout the counselling procedure. Seats will be assigned to candidates after verification.
