Savannah College of Art and Design(SCAD) is a nonprofit arts school founded in the year 1978. The unique and distinctive courses at the SCAD provide students with a platform to pursue a career in the creative fields. SCAD offers an array of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs to students across its four campuses located in Atlanta and Savannah(Georgia), Lacoste, France and Hong Kong. These academic programs span across 9 schools namely, The School of Design, Fashion, Fine Arts, Entertainment Arts, Communication, Building Arts, Liberal Arts, Foundation Studies, and The School of Digital Media. The athletic teams of Savannah and Atlanta are collectively known as the “Bees”. While the SCAD Atlanta athletic team is known for competing in sports like bowling, cycling, tennis, and golf, the SCAD Savannah team is known for competing at the intercollegiate level in the track and field, equestrian, lacrosse, and golf sports.
