Established in 1962 by the amalgamation of Bromley School of Art, Sidcup School of Art and Beckenham School of Art, it was formerly called the Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, after the River Ravensbourne, which flows from Bromley Common to Greenwich. In 2017, the College was accorded independent degree-granting powers, while in 2018, it achieved university status, becoming Ravensbourne University London in its present form. A thriving, creative and collaborative community of learners, Ravensbourne offers innovative and creative curriculums from foundation to the Postgraduate level. Situated at the heart of London’s creative ecosystem on the Greenwich Peninsula, the Ravensbourne University London campus features gold-standard facilities and creative infrastructure. There is a Fashion Preparation Space, Editing, Production, Audio and 3D Prototyping Suites, Photographic Studio, Sound and Music Studio and more on the campus.
