What is the Full Form of JDU?

The Full Form of JDU is Janata Dal United. It is translated to People’s Party United and is a significant political party in India. In the 2024 elections, JDU won 12 seats in Bihar, where they have been dominant for many decades. Furthermore, JDU is recognised as a State party in Bihar, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Moreover, JDU is currently part of the ruling coalition in Bihar. The party has also always been the second-largest party in Manipur. In the 2019 general election, JDU won 16 seats, hence placing it as the seventh-largest party in the Lok Sabha. How was JDU Formed?

The Janata Dal (United) was formed on the 30th of October 2003. Moreover, via the coming together of Sharad Yadav of the Lok Shakti Party, Janata Dal, and the Samata Party.
