The matriculation exams are indeed one of the most common and entry-level exams in India. This is because the number of seats for students enrolled in class 10th is generally more than the number of students enrolled in class 11th making the matriculation certificate and matriculation exams the most common and accepted in India.

Matriculation Certificate vs. Central Board of Education
- The matriculation certificate is valid up to the tenth grade. Its registration follows a different programme outline for each municipal domain in India. When you combine this schooling programme with CBSE, it won’t be as challenging.
- In the case of CBSE, however, the situation is different when it comes to obtaining a matriculation certificate. They have additional information on the subject and must also read a number of additional books. Matriculation Certificate in Other Countries
- Australia: The term “matriculation” or “matriculation certificate” is no longer widely used in Australia. The enrolling examination was replaced in all states by either a diploma, such as the Higher Seminary Certificate, or a university admission examination.
- Brazil: In Brazil, the term “matriculate” refers to enrolling in an educational programme to earn a matriculation certificate, whether it is elementary, middle, high school, university, or even post-graduate education.
- Canada: Although certain academies in Canada use the term “matriculation certificate” to describe the alignment of multiple academic activities, some campuses, such as the King’s University Campus, still hold traditional Registration (commonly abbreviated to “matric”) formalities.
- Hong Kong: The term “matriculation certificate” is used interchangeably in Hong Kong to refer to the completion of the 6th Standard or the sixth form. Qualified students receive two years of sixth-form education after passing the Diploma of Education test.
