The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is all set to develop a regional academic center for space inside its campus by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). It was a moment of great pride when it was announced that there was going to be ISRO Regional Academic Center for Space at IIT-BHU. It was announced in an official release that the centre will be used for carrying research in the Indian space programme.
IIT-BHU director professor P.K Jain stated that he believes that the RAC-S will be helpful for promoting space technology activities in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The two organisations also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a virtual manner. It was signed by the directors of both the organizations.
