Recent Additions to GATE 2022: Two New Engineering Papers

Every year GATE is conducted for admission in postgraduate courses. IIT Kharagpur recently announced, GATE will incorporate two new designing papers – Naval architecture and marine engineering and geomatics engineering. Here are the latest updates about the GATE 2022.

GATE Latest Updates 2022

The 2022 release of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will incorporate two new designing papers – Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering, the Education Ministry has educated. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will oversee GATE 2022 for admission to postgraduate projects, and for grant and assistantship from the Education Ministry. 

With the incorporation of two new papers, GATE 2022 will have 29 papers altogether. A year ago as well, two new papers – Environmental Science and Engineering, or ES, and Humanities and Social Science, or XS, were added to the test.  IIT Bombay directed GATE 2021. The organization gave over the chairmanship of the National Coordination Board (NCB) of GATE to IIT Kharagpur recently. 

“IIT Bombay gave over the duty of getting sorted out GATE 2022 to IIT Kharagpur after fruitful finishing of GATE 2021 on time disregarding the pandemic,” the organization said on May 23. 

IIT Kharagpur Director Professor Virendra Kumar Tewari is the Chairman of GATE 2022. 

GATE is a public level assessment mutually directed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee in the interest of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. 

GATE score is likewise utilized by some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for enrollment and by a few colleges in India and abroad for confirmations. GATE is an online and computer-based entrance examination.
