GMAT Scoring Scale
The GMAT exam includes 4 sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing Assessment. As GMAT is an adaptive test which means the level of difficulty will increase as you correctly attempt a question. Therefore, the number of questions you attempt plays a crucial role in the exam.
Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning both are scored on a scale form 6-51. AWA or Analytical Writing Assessment is scored on a scale from 0-6. Total GMAT score is on a scale from 200-800.
A good GMAT score ranges from 700 to 740.
In GMAT, 31 questions are asked from the quantitative section, 36 questions are of verbal reasoning. Integrated reasoning section has 12 questions and only a single AWA question is asked.
A candidate can take the GMAT exam online or at a test center or both.
