Indian students in the UK can now get a booster shot at any walk-in vaccination centre. The aim is to deliver booster jabs to all those who are double vaccinated for at least 3 months and over the age of 18.

How Can Indian Students Get Booster Shots in the UK?

Indian students yearning for a booster shot are obliged to prove that they have been fully vaccinated and be quarantined for 14 days. It is a must that the country they were vaccinated in appears on the list on the official website of the government of UK.

On Sunday, Prime minister Boris Johnson announced a ramping up of the third jab rollout, as the government aims to give one million boosters each day. “No one should be in any doubt, there is a tidal wave of Omicron coming,” the Prime Minister said in the Press Conference. “Today, in light of this omicron emergency, I am bringing that target forward by a whole month.”

Indian students planning to get admission in the upcoming intakes should keep in mind that the vaccines presently acceptable in the UK include Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, Janssen (single-dose vaccine), Sinovac-CoronaVac, Sinopharm, Beijing and Covaxin for the purposes of international travel. This also includes specific formulations such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Moderna Takeda.
