The Full Form of PARAKH is Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development. NCERT launched PARAKH in line with NEP 2020 as its constituent unit. It aims to remove discrepancies in scoring in state board examinations as well as set a standard evaluation system. On the 11th of September, 2020 during a conference on “School Education in the 21st Century” our current Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement to build a National Assessment Centre called PARAKH. Moreover, the PM also put out a statement saying that practical knowledge is important along with industry knowledge.

The Student Learning Assessment Project aims to take into consideration the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the students learning.
