The AICTE full form is All India Council for Technical Education. It is a legal organisation responsible for planning and coordinating the advancement of technical education throughout India. The framework for executive education and training is created and organised by AICTE. AICTE is recognised by the government of India with the authority to plan, schedule, and coordinate the expansion of technical education. AICTE is also responsible for approving colleges for quality education and evaluating technical education.

AICTE was started in 1945 and received constitutional status in 1987.  It was made with the goal of promoting the growth of technical education in India. The headquarters of AICTE is in New Delhi, India. AICTE has its regional offices all over India. It includes places like Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata,  Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Gurugram, Chandigarh, and Bhopal.
