The Full Form of ITI is Industrial Training Institute. ITI as the name suggests, is an academic institute that trains people in vocations related to the the industrial sector. It was established in 1950 under the Directorate of General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, GOI and focuses on skill development. Moreover, there are 15,042 ITIs for CTS training, 2738 Government ITIs and 12,305 Private ITIs. Additionally, the duration of the ITI Course could vary from 6 months to 2 years

What are the Eligibility Criteria for ITI?

The eligibility criteria for ITI courses depends on the course, however, some factors are similar to all: 

  • The applicant must have completed the 10th grade from a duly recognized educational board or any equivalent examination recognised as the 10th standard.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have achieved a minimum aggregate score of 35%.
  • Furthermore, the applicant’s age at the time of admission must fall within the range of 14 to 40 years.
