The Full Form of CAT is the Common Admission Test. It is more of an examination than a test which is conducted by the IIMs(Indian Institute of Management) for their PG programs. Additionally, they have computer-based exams to shortlist candidates once a year. What is the Pattern and Duration of the CAT Exam?
There is a differentiation in pattern, every year. However, 3 Sections have remained the same since 2015, as well as the Duration, they are as follows:

Who is Eligible for the CAT Exam?
Furthermore, the Eligibility for the CAT Exam is as follows:
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% or an equivalent CGPA.
- For ST, SC, PWD, and DA (Differently Able) categories, it is 45%.
- The degree must be from institutions authorized by the Indian central or state legislative bodies or other educational bodies established by Parliament.
- These institutions should also be recognized as universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956, with equivalent qualifications approved by the HRD Ministry, GOI.
- Lastly, final-year Bachelor’s degree candidates and those who meet the degree requirements but are waiting for results can also apply.
