Earlier the leading member of the FutureHAUS and a professor of architecture, Joseph Wheeler welcomed 16 students to tour his cutting-edge solar-powered living room in the middle of the Dubai desert. Visitors were given a close-up view of the future of sustainable living, which included touch-screen control panels, automatic sliding doors, and electrochromic glass that darkens in hot weather.
Now, Virginia Tech University is dedicated to offering similar immersive and high-impact study abroad opportunities that help students understand other peoples’ cultures, economies, and landscapes while preparing them for future global concerns.
The university oversees programs abroad and is renowned for its exceptional knowledge and cultural expertise. It is deeply committed to the mission of global engagement, discovery, and service, and they go above and beyond to ensure that students will have exceptional opportunities for experiential learning.
