PESSAT or People’s Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test is the admission entrance exam of the PES University for its major courses such as BTech and BBA, etc. Only candidates qualifying for this exam will be offered admission into the various undergraduate courses. Students aspiring to pursue design courses will also have to qualify for PESSAT. Admissions for architecture will be provided on the basis of NATA scores and that of LLB will be done taking into consideration the CLAT scores. PESSAT 2023

The People’s Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT) is an aptitude test administered by the People’s Education Society. PES University holds it for admission to BTech programs and other programs provided by the university. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview phase as well as their test score.

Given below are the minimum eligibility criteria that the candidates must meet in order to be eligible for PESSAT entrance exam:

PESSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

The exam will include questions of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. The PESSAT is a 180-minute long, multiple-choice exam, with no negative marking.

PESSAT 2022 Syllabus

The PESSAT 2022 syllabus varies depending on the subject. Candidates must be familiar with the entrance exam syllabus in order to perform well. PESSAT 2021’s syllabus for B.Tech will be at the 11th and 12th-grade levels. Chemists, physicists, and mathematicians must study 11th and 12th-grade themes. Candidates should study their 11th and 12th-grade textbooks in order to do well on the exam.

Questions from Verbal Ability/English Comprehension, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Quantitative Reasoning will be asked in other courses. Candidates can also solve past year’s question papers to improve their chances of passing the PESSAT 2021 test.

PESSAT 2023 Admission Process

Following is the step-by-step admission process for PESSAT. Candidates are required to complete application, slot Booking, PESSAT and Counselling/Interview.

  1. Candidates have to register as new users and fill out the online form. On doing so, candidates will receive their login IDs. 
  2. On submitting the form, candidates will have to choose a slot for their examination. Post this, an admit card will be issued which the candidates will have to download.
  3. The exam for all courses except BTech will be conducted in Bangalore. There will be over 40 test centers across the country.
  4. Candidates who qualify for the test will be called for counseling/interview.

  • After logging in with your application number and password, the PESSAT 2023 scoreboard will appear on the screen.
  • The scorecard can be downloaded and printed.

PESSAT 2023 Scholarships

Dependent on the candidate’s academic performance and need, the university offers various scholarships to students.

MRD Scholarships A 40% waiver to students who secure a rank of top 20% in their class.
Distinction Awards Students receive cash money for securing  a CGPA of 7.5 and above
Corporate Scholarships Corporates provide scholarships to meritorious students in their final year.
Rural Scholarship Free engineering education is offered to a few students hailing from rural backgrounds.
Research Scholarship Students interested in research will be given opportunities to work as research associates with professors.
