About MHT-CET

The MHT-CET or the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test is conducted yearly by the Government of Maharashtra coordinating with the Directorate of Technical Education. The MHT-CET (MH-CET) is conducted by the State Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for admissions regarding first-year Engineering or Technology programs (B.Tech/BE) and the Pharmacy programs (BPharma/PharmD) in the state. Till 2018, examinations were held by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra.

  • As per relevant data, in MHT CET 2018 results, scores between 165-149 were considered as 99.99 percentile. Alongside a score of 136 meant 99.88 percent and a score of 113 meant 98.07 percentile.
  • The results of 2017 say that a score of 145-136 was 99.99 percentile. 99.87 percentile was equivalent to a score of 122 also a score of 101 equals to 98.10 percentile.
  • Now let’s talk about 2016 results. 99.99 percentile equals a score between 165-153. Likewise, a score of 134 is awarded 99.87 percentile. And a percentile of 98.02 means 112 marks.

The marks are calculated on a normalization basis as the exams are conducted in multiple shifts. The score of the candidates is normalized so that no one gets a disadvantage due to more difficult questions in a particular shift. 

Candidates wanting to pursue courses from top government/private colleges must possess a rank below 40,000. Expectations are students getting 70+ marks are awarded a rank 40,000 or above. 

Application Process

Interested in appearing for MHT CTE? The application process for the examination is completely online. Here are the steps for the application process:

  • Registration: Register yourself on the official webpage of MHT CET. After successful registration, candidates may click “apply online” where the application page will be open and students may fill up the details asked for.
  • Fill up the application form: The following details are required: Father’s/Husband’s/Guardian’s name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Date of birth, email, Phone number. Other tabs are also present like reservation, Other details, educational qualification, and students may provide details. 
  • Declaration: The candidates have to click on “I agree” after carefully studying the terms and conditions provided and details. The security key has to be provided and the student may proceed to the next page.
  • Uploading images: Here students have to upload recent, colored passport-sized photos of themselves which should be scanned. (File size 15-50 kb). Candidates have to put their signature on a white page with a black ink pen and scan the image and upload the same. (File size 5-20kb). 
  • Fee payment: The fees for PCM and PCB is ₹800 whereas for PWD and reserved candidates fees are ₹600. The late fees for PCB and PCM are ₹1,300. However for reserved and PWD Candidates late fee is ₹1,100. 
  • Confirmation: After successful payment, a confirmation page will come up. Candidates must confirm their submission and take out a print of the same for future reference.

The rank will be between 41,001 to 47,000.

What percentile is 90 marks in MHT CET?

The percentile range will be 89.75 to 90.65 percentile.

Is 80 marks good in MHT CET?
