Q – Describe a family that you like (not your own family).
You should say-
- Where does the family live?
- Who are the members of the family?
- How do you know them?
- Explain why you like this family.
Ans- Thank you for giving me the chance to speak about this fantastic cue card topic. In fact, I consider myself quite fortunate to know so many wonderful families. Today, I’d want to share a story about a family that I’ve known for a very long time.
The family I’m referring to here is that of a very close colleague of mine- Billy. I have known them since I and Billy joined the same office as freshers. I didn’t really get the opportunity to meet my buddy’s family until after they came to attend an annual event at our workplace, which was a long time after I had met Billy, even though we had immediately become good colleagues after meeting at the office on the very first day itself. It goes without saying that I immediately warmed up to the entire family, which consisted of his parents, two older brothers, and a younger sister. By the way, while not technically wealthy, Billy’s family is exceptional in that they constantly like blowing a lot of cash on vacation and buy gifts for other people.
However, from the day when I first met them, there hasn’t really been a week that I haven’t visited them at their home or had a member of my colleague’s family visit my parents, even though both of them live rather far apart.
Well, the reason I like this family is that every single one of its members has embraced me like a son of their own. In fact, ever since I first met them, there hasn’t been a significant holiday that they haven’t bought me a gift for or invited me over for a family feast.
