Write a letter to the Student Accommodation Officer of the local college to rent out a spare room in your apartment.

Q- You have a spare room in your apartment that you would like to rent out to a student. Write a letter to the Student Accommodation Officer of the local college.

In your letter, you should tell:

  • Where is your apartment located?
  • When will the room be available?
  • What are your requirements for a student to stay there?

A- Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring your attention to the fact that I am planning on renting out a room in my apartment to a student by the end of next month.

First, I live in the Hackney neighbourhood of Windsor Complex. My two-bedroom flat, which is located in one of the city’s safest colonies, has two bedrooms, and I am currently rooming with a friend in the extra space.

He will, however, be relocating to his birthplace by 15th February from this city. Therefore, it would take me a week to clean the room, after which I wish to rent the room to a student soon. Hence, I am seeking a new roommate.

It would be very helpful if you could recommend someone. I only have a few modest expectations of the other person. For example, I would not feel comfortable living with somebody who eats non-vegan cuisine because I am from a vegan family. Additionally, it would be ideal if the applicant is not a smoker or an alcoholic. My flat costs $5000 a month in rent, and we will split the cost of the rent, groceries, and power.

Please recommend everyone you know as soon as you can.

Yours faithfully,

David Thomas
