Sundar Pichai is the Senior vice president of Google, having pursued his starry-eyed technical goals. He was previously the product head for Android, chrome, maps, and other popular Google products. He was responsible for the development of the dominant Chrome web browser. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. N. R. Narayana Murthy, Face of Indian IT Industry
In our list of famous IITians, next is N. R. Narayana Murthy. A legend in his own right. He is the co-founder and former chairman of Infosys, one of India’s largest technology companies. Narayana Murthy studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Mysore’s National Institute of Engineering. He was then accepted and finished his M.Tech. at IIT Kanpur (Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur). In 1981, he co-founded Infosys, a multinational corporation that provides services like business consulting, business technology, and engineering. Murthy was also honoured with India’s highest honour, the Padma Shri, in the year 2000.

Chetan Bhagat is a motivational speaker, author, columnist, screenwriter, and television personality from India. His best-selling Indian-English novels about youthful urban middle-class Indians are his most well-known works. Chetan Bhagat earned his B. Tech. (Bachelor of Technology) from IIT Delhi before enrolling in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad. Former RBI Governor and Economist, Raghuram Rajan
Raghuram Govind Rajan is among the list of famous IITians making Indians proud. Mr. Rajan, the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, is an Indian economist. Between September 2013 to September 2016, he served as the Reserve Bank of India’s 23rd Governor. Rajan served as the International Monetary Fund’s Chief Economist and Director of Research from 2003 to 2006. During his time as Vice-Chairman of the Bank for International Settlements, he also became Vice-Chairman of the Indian Reserve Bank in 2015. In 1981, he enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He received the Director’s Gold Medal as the best all-around student when he graduated in 1985.

One of a Kind CM, Manohar Parrikar
Manohar Gopalkrishna Prabhu Parrikar was the Chief Minister of Goa in 2017. He was an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party. From 2000 to 2005, and again from 2012 to 2014, he served as Chief Minister of Goa. From 2014 to 2017, Parrikar served as India’s Defense Minister in the BJP government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is the first IIT graduate to lead an Indian state as Chief Minister. IIT Mumbai honoured him with the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2001. He had his secondary education in Marathi and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (IIT Mumbai) in 1978 with a degree in metallurgical engineering. CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal
In our list of famous IITians, we have Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal is an Indian politician and the current Chief Minister of Delhi, India. He is the president of the Aam Aadmi Party. Arvind Kejriwal graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur with a degree in mechanical engineering (IIT Kharagpur). Kejriwal, for your information, aced IIT-JEE in his first attempt and received an All India Rank (AIR) of 563. Kejriwal also served for the Indian Revenue Service in New Delhi as a Joint Commissioner of the Income Tax Department.

Vinod Khosla, Co-Founder of Sun Microsystems
Vinod Khosla is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems, the firm that developed the popular Java programming language. Vinod Khosla attended IIT Delhi and earned a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. He subsequently went on to Carnegie Mellon University to study Biomedical Engineering before receiving an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Sachin Bansal is the man who revolutionized the Indian eCommerce industry. With his colleague Binny Bansal, Sachin Bansal developed one of India’s largest eCommerce platforms, “Flipkart.” Sachin Bansal graduated from IIT Delhi with a Bachelor of Technology degree. Sachin and Binny Bansal used to work for the eCommerce business Amazon, and it was from there that they had the idea to start their own company in India, which they did.

Deepinder Goyal, Founder of Zomato
Deepinder Goyal is Zomato’s founder and CEO. Deepinder worked as a management consultant for Bain and Company in New Delhi before founding Zomato. After witnessing a demand for menu cards among his colleagues at Bain, Deepinder came up with the idea for an online restaurant information service. He left Bain in 2008 to create Zomato (then foodiebay) from his flat, and he has been in charge of strategy and product development ever since. Deepinder who is from Muktsar in Punjab earned a Mathematics and Computing degree from IIT Delhi in 2005.
Rebooting India, Nandan Nilekani
The Chairman of India’s Unique Identification Authority was Nandan Nilekani (UIDAI). Nilekani was one of Infosys’ founders in 1981, and he became the company’s chief executive officer in March 2002, serving as CEO until April 2007. Nilekani joined the Indian National Congress in March 2014 and ran for the Bangalore South constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, losing 28,575 votes against BJP candidate Ananth Kumar. Nilekani attended Bishop Cotton Boys’ School and St. Joseph High School in Dharwad, Karnataka PU College Dharwad, and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in Mumbai with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
