Indiana University was founded in 1820 and established at its flagship campus at Bloomington which is two centuries old. There are a total of nine colleges operating under IU with the other core campus at Indianapolis offering degrees from two universities - Purdue University and Indiana University. Indiana University Bloomington is the flagship campus of the University's seven campuses and 2 statewide centers. The main campus along with the University's oldest and largest campus, IUPUI constitute two core campuses, in addition to which, Indiana has 5 Regional campuses, as well as 9 School of Medicine campuses. Each campus has a credited and official 4 years graduation granting authorization. While the University offers a wide range of programs it is best known for its Business and Music school.
