History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 1881, HEC Paris is an international business school which is situated in the suburban area of Paris, France. HEC has been able to gain an outstanding reputation since then. In 1964, the then French President Charles de Gaulle inaugurated a new 250-acre wooded campus in Jouy-en-Josas. The first women were accepted at HEC since 1973. In 1988, HEC founded the CEMS network with ESADE, Bocconi University and Cologne University. Today, HEC Paris is the largest business school in Europe that offers transformative education that is international, entrepreneurial and prepares future leaders of the corporate world. HEC Paris is also affiliated with CGE and Paris-Saclay University. In the Financial Times European Business Schools Rankings for 2021, the School ranks #1 among Business Schools in Europe, while it ranks #1 in Europe and the world for its Executive MBA program.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Situated in the suburban area of Jouy-en-Josas, the school spans an area of around 250 acres. The Paris Chamber of Commerce laid the foundation of this university, with the aim of expanding the trade and management agreements and opportunities. The highlight of HEC is the numerous programs it offers related to Business and Management, and the Research opportunities that it provides in business studies. A wide variety of courses including, MBA and Masters in Management degrees with specializations in Business, Geopolitics, Fashion Management, Finance, Entertainment, and Sports Management are offered via Summer Schools. It also offers executive education programs, PhD research programs as well as specialized Master of Science programs.
