India has many kinds of tourist places. We have historical tourism like the Taj Mahal in Agra, Qutub Minar in Delhi, and Hampi in Karnataka. People from different countries come to see these famous monuments. Then we have religious tourism. Many people visit temples like Kedarnath, Tirupati, Vaishno Devi, and Golden Temple in Amritsar. These places give peace to the mind and soul.

India is also rich in natural beauty. We have the snowy mountains of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, the deserts of Rajasthan, the forests of Madhya Pradesh, and the beaches of Goa and Kerala. These places attract nature lovers and adventure seekers. Eco-tourism is also growing in India. People now visit wildlife parks like Jim Corbett, Kaziranga, and Sundarbans to enjoy nature and learn about animals.

I am here to speak on a very interesting topic – Tourism in India. Tourism means travelling to different places for fun, learning, or relaxation. India is one of the top tourist countries in the world because of its beauty, culture, and variety. People from all over the world visit India to explore its history, nature, festivals, and food.

Tourism gives many benefits to our country. It creates many jobs in travel companies, hotels, shops, and restaurants. It also helps local people earn money by selling handicrafts, food, and offering services. In 2024, India welcomed more than 9 crore domestic and international tourists. According to the Ministry of Tourism, this industry supports over 4 crore jobs across the country.

To support tourism, the Indian Government has started many programs. Swadesh Darshan Scheme helps in building tourist circuits like Buddhist Circuit, Coastal Circuit, and Desert Circuit. Incredible India is a campaign to attract international tourists. Dekho Apna Desh encourages Indians to travel within the country and explore new places.

Tourism also teaches us about our own culture and history. By visiting different states, we learn new languages, try new food, and understand different lifestyles. It builds respect for all regions and brings unity among us.
