Eligibility Criteria
Before taking a look at the list of IIMs, it is important to understand the eligibility criteria that you need to fulfil to qualify their offered courses. As an integral element of prerequisite, the CAT exam is conducted by IIMs in November every year. The CAT exam pattern comprises of four sections, i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. The result of this exam is released in terms of cutoffs on the basis of which the IIMs screen candidates for the second stage of admission, i.e. GD/WAT/PI round along with which their academic records and past work experience is also assessed. However, if you are applying for 1-year MBA courses, GMAT scores are generally acceptable and you necessarily don’t need to qualify CAT.
