How to Apply?

You can apply for the LIC AAO exam during the available application dates. But, before applying, you need to make sure to have the following documents with you:

1.Have a valid personal email address and mobile phone number.
2. Scanned copy of passport-sized photograph, signature (with black ink), left thumb impression and a hand-written declaration. 
3. The text for declaration should read, “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

  2. Click on ‘careers’ to open the link on  “ Recruitment of AE/AA/AAO(Specialist)”
  3. Select the button that reads, ‘Click here for New Registration’
  4. Enter all the information 
  5. A registration number and password will be generated by the system that you need to note down.
  6. Keep saving every sheet of detail that you are filling. Finally, on the last section, verify all your details and click on the ‘Final Submit’ button
  7. Your name and your father/ husband’s name should be spelt correctly.
  8. Validate your details and save the application after checking it thoroughly
  9. Make the online payment
  10. Click on Submit

Guidelines for LIC AAO Exam

On the day of your exam, you need to be cautious about certain rules and guidelines that you need to follow. You must bring certain documents to your exam centre for verification.

The documents required for LIC AAO Exam are:

  1. Valid call letter for respective date and centre
  2. Photo identification proof
  3. Photocopy of photo-identity proof

If you arrive late to the exam centre, you will not be permitted to take the test. It is advisable that candidates reach at least three hours before the exam to complete the verification process. 

LIC AAO Selection Procedure

LIC AAO Exam: Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form for the LIC AAO exam, the applicants must check if they fulfil the eligibility criteria specified. Take a look at the requirements enlisted below as per official notification of Life Insurance Corporation of India which need to satisfied (as of 1st February 2021).

Age Limit

The minimum age limit of the applicant should be 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. There are certain relaxation of years for candidates belonging to different categories: 

  • For SC/ST candidates: 5 years 
  • For OBC candidates: 3 years
  • For PwD(General) candidates: 10 years
  • For PwD(OBC) candidates: 13 years
  • For PwD(SC/ST) candidates: 15 years. 

Education Qualifications

The required qualification is different for certain Administrative Assistant officer(AAO) posts:

AAO (Generalist)Graduation degree in any discipline.
AAO (Chartered Accountant)The candidate should be a member of ICAI and should have finished the final test of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. They must also hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
AAO (Actuarial)The student must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. They should have passed Paper CT1 and CT5 and 4 other test papers of the exam conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India or IFA, UK.
AAO (IT)The applicant from a recognized university must have completed graduation in engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or have completed his MCA or MSc (Computer Science).
AAO (Legal)The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Law or Master in Law (LLM) from a recognized Indian University/Institution and possess 3 years of bar experience.
AAO (Rajbhasha)The student must hold a master’s degree in English/Sanskrit/Hindi with English & Hindi as one of the subjects at the bachelor’s degree level.

LIC AAO Exam Pattern
