The Difference Between Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Universities 

The Tier 1 Universities in the world are Universities that have excellent research faculties. A University has to be highly focused on research, come under the best 2.5 percent of higher education institutes, and should have grants and contracts of at least 100 million dollars to be categorized as a Tier 1 University. Moreover, these universities need to award more than 200 doctorate degrees, have high research staff, and have graduation rates. 

Tier 2 institutions are not as well-known as Tier 1 colleges, but that doesn’t imply that talented students can’t attend them. Nevertheless, they provide excellent academic research, faculty, placements, and an Alumni network. These Universities are highly competitive to get into but less competitive than Tier 1 Universities. Tier 3 universities are comparatively less competitive to get in. They have more seats and fewer applicants.
