The full form of SGPT is Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase. It is an enzyme, also known as ALT or alanine Aminotransferases. It is commonly found in plasma, a few body tissues, liver, and heart cells. Moreover, the SGPT enzyme is released into the blood when either the heart or the liver gets damaged.
